Very complex and hard to understand (Steep learning curve). The book is even more confusing and hard to read. It is heavier than I thought and needs a view finder. Having said that.... It has a lot going on inside and the pictures do turn out well when you figure out how to use the settings (which are almost to many). If you have the patients to stick with it, You probably will be very happy but at first there are times you want to take a hammer to it (after you delete all your pictures by mistake and I can't blame the camera for that but I do blame the complexity of the unit). At the end of the day and you've beaten the learning curve (STEEP) you will be happy with your purchase. It is not for the casual photographer who wants something easy to use.
